Description

This small-group tutoring class helps middle school students strengthen their understanding of science concepts taught in California’s NGSS-aligned curriculum. Sessions focus on topics commonly taught in grades 6–8 — including Earth & Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science — with an emphasis on building vocabulary, comprehension, and problem-solving skills.

Students will:

Review and clarify classroom content in a supportive environment
Practice interpreting science texts, diagrams, and data tables
Learn step-by-step strategies for tackling science questions and labs
Build confidence before quizzes and unit tests

Lessons are tailored to the students’ current unit (e.g., plate tectonics, ecosystems, chemical reactions) and include real-world examples and interactive activities.
