What you'll learn in this pastry class:

Learn baking basics from culinary experts in this hands-on baking class.

In this interactive baking class, you'll learn the basics of baking world-renowned pastry staples, from quick bread to eclairs. Once class is over, you can carry home your freshly baked treats in a quaint display box.

This treat-packed class covers a variety of baking techniques used for quick breads, tarts, eclairs and cream puffs. You'll learn professional methods for filling pastry as you create lemon lavender eclairs and decadent chocolate cream puffs. You'll also learn how to mix pastry dough as you prepare a fresh fruit tart.

Menu:

  • Walnut and Stilton Quick Bread With Honey Butter
    with buttermilk
  • Mixed Fruit Tarts With Vanilla Pastry Cream
    with butter, flour, sugar, eggs, berries, kiwi and mango

    I was given this course by my brother as a Christmas present and it was absolutely fabulous! The class was small - roughly 10 people and we all worked together to create a few baked goods. We all walked away with some goodies at the end too. The instructor was very informative at every step of the way to make sure we understood what was happening, how different ingredients interacted with each other, etc. I ended up recommending the culinary school to my office and we did a follow up knife skills course for our team. That one was also fabulous. I learned so much!

    I really enjoyed The Great Baking class. Chef Nora is very organized and knowledgeable teacher. Her class was fun and informative. I loved this class. I am confident in baking custards and eclairs. I even took her sushi class! I recommend this class to everyone at all levels
