What you'll learn in this unique class:

Explore the use of Gamification (game mechanics used in non-gaming environments) and Game Theory (the economic analysis of how people strategize) in relation to change making. Fun Theory in every sense!

In this class we unpack the ways in which human’s use strategies and ‘play’ to maximise the effectiveness of experience in the world. We look at the bigger picture of games and gamification and the ways in which they can be used to effect change, unpacking instinctive motivators such pleasure, success and challenge. This workshop examines existing human approaches and how they can be utilized to maximises social and behavioural change.

About the Workshop
 
This is a lunchtime workshop that runs for 1.5 hours and is held at the Centre for Social Innovation. All our classes are small group sessions for maximum participation and experience. This session is part of the Sustainability Curriculum Track at the Un-School for Disruptive Design and can also be taken as a one-on-one mentoring session.
