Jenny Logan

Teaches at Brooklyn Institute for Social Research

Jenny Logan is an attorney and a visiting professor at the University of Oregon School of Law. She holds a BA in philosophy from the University of California, Davis, and a MA in philosophy from New York University, where she was a PhD student until she dropped out to teach high school in the Bronx. Jenny then earned her JD with honors from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, where she founded the nonprofit community radio station XRAY.fm, released a record on the legendary independent record label Kill Rock Stars, and organizes for tenants’ rights with the Community Alliance of Tenants.

Jenny works on issues related to fair housing, abolitionism, sexual violence, racialization, and critical psychology; she is a staff writer for Mad In America and her work can also be seen in the Journal of Housing and Community Development Law; the Journal of Constructivist Psychology, and the Journal of Theoretical and Philosophy Psychology. She is currently a postgraduate student at Birkbeck College, University of London, where she researches the relationship between law, racialization, and rape.
