The Tidal Basin in the early morning light is a special place and surrounded with Cherry Blossoms even more so. Spend the morning capturing the photos to prove it.
We'll begin photographing the Jefferson against the deep blue sky of twilight and framed with cherry blossoms. From there we’ll work our way around the Tidal Basin, capturing the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument from many vantage points all framed by the cherry blossoms in the beautiful early morning light.
At each point along the way, we'll cover exposure settings, composition considerations and tips for dynamic photos.
Participants should be familiar with their camera and the settings as we'll be working in the dark for the first portion of the class.
For best results, bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera with lenses in the range from 18mm to 200mm and a circular polarizing filter if you have one. Tripods are a must for this early morning safari as we'll begin photographing in the dark.
