Our new 3 Week Animation Voice-Over class with top Animation Casting Director/Voice Director Ned Lott will cover auditioning skills for animation voice-over from video games to full-length Animated Feature projects.
Ned has a wide range of producing, voice directing and casting experience for animation. He was a Producer, Voice Director, and Casting Director with the Walt Disney Studios on seven Studio Ghibli titles, including Hayao Miyazaki’s Oscar™ nominated theatrical release “Howl’s Moving Castle” starring Christian Bale. Other notable accomplishments include casting Liam Neeson as the voice of “Aslan” for “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”.
In this virtual class, Ned will share with you casting techniques on how to audition as a voice-over artist for video games all the way to animated feature film projects.
He'll cover what Hollywood casting directors look for in voice auditions, how to best create characters, how to have strong acting skills when reading scripts, best microphone techniques, and how to create a character from only a picture.
You'll also work on "Directing Yourself" techniques, in finding the best acting choices to know when your audition is ready to submit.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
