In this three-hour session, you will gain skills vital to using your Mac effectively, including using the mouse and keyboard, working with windows, launching applications, creating and saving documents, creating new folders and the basics of using applications and the Web.

Using a Window:- opening and closing windows
- moving and resizing windows
- zoom, minimize and restore
- switching between open windows
- changing views
Working with Files and Folders:- navigating local and network storage locations
- creating new folders
- renaming, moving and copying files
- moving files to and restoring from the Trash
- searching for files
Using Applications:- launching and quitting applications
- creating and saving documents
- opening and printing documents
- basic word processing techniques
- typing and editing text
- selecting text
- cut and paste
- undo
- force quitting a frozen application
Connecting to the network and Internet:- wired vs wireless
- browsing the Web

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
