Catherine is a Brooklyn-based artist and teacher. Originally from Sheffield in the U.K, she graduated from Manchester Polytechnic with a B.F.A in Fine Art Painting. She is an alumnus of the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture and the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. A highly experienced teen and adult educator, curator, and art events organizer, Catherine currently heads up our Teen Drawing, Animation, Procreate, and Digital Art classes at the studio. She teaches Figure and Anatomy Drawing and our Abstract Painting and Self Expression classes for our Adult program. Catherine’s own work explores the mystery and mesmerizing color of landscapes inhabited by introspective figures created from paint, light, and memory.
