Dina Pruzhansky

Dina Pruzhansky is a Russian born, Israeli raised pianist, composer and educator, based in New York. Ms. Pruzhansky is a post-graduate alumna from Mannes School of Music in collaborative piano, where she was awarded a continuous scholarship of merit, and a member of the Tonyhonored BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. She holds MA in piano performance, summa cum laude, from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel-Aviv, where she studied with the pupil of H. Neuhaus, Prof. Victor Derevianko. She also holds a Bachelor degree in Art History.

Ms.Pruzhansky has been enjoying a diverse career, both as pianist and composer. She has appeared in solo and chamber music recitals at the leading venues throughout the United States, Russia, Israel, Canada, Italy, Belgium and Germany, and has shared the stage with many distinctive artists, including soloists of the Metropolitan and San Francisco Operas, members of the Met Orchestra and others. Having her compositions featured at NYC venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Weill Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Bargemusic, Le Poisson Rouge, as well internationally, Ms. Pruzhansky has recently made her WQXR debut in an exclusive 'Young Artist' program with the renown host Robert Sherman. Ms. Pruzhansky was named a finalist for the Fred Ebb Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre writing, with the award-winning lyricist Matt Schatz. Her opera Shulamit, written and premiered in 2014, has had it's full production in NYC earlier this year. A passionate educator, she is the author of I Can Play Chopin series — a collection of easy piano arrangements for beginners.
